LISA SOLBERG
Lisa Solberg is a contemporary, multidisciplinary artist best known for her paintings, large-scale sculptural installations and ephemeral performances that resacrilize our relationship to the Earth. Solberg’s use of material, symbol and gesture draws on embedded, sacred truths to elevate the universal within the particular and create meaning out of unarticulated matter.
Solberg received her BFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005 and completed an Early College Summer Program in Visual Art at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2001. She was a professional skier until 2006 and competed at The US Open, X-Games and other competitions with international athletes.

A pioneer woman
“As the world burns, Lisa Solberg’s art aims to be a guidepost or a talisman. Her will, transformed into self-reliance, has created a space for a gathering around the small things that help bring meaning to our every day lives: food, friends, art and fellowship,” says Gordy Grundy of Art Report Today.
